Default new wheels=tons of vibration

So, today Im excited that I get my new ASA 18"x8.5 et35Wheels on my car. Went to the wheel shop and got them mounted and balanced onto 225/40/18 tires. So I take off, and the car starts vibrating bad and the steering wheel is extremely shaky too at 25mph +)Also, I hear a slight squeeling sound coming from my front left wheel/tire. So I take it back, and they check the balancing and hubcentric rings and say everything is fine.

Its so bad, that I took them off, and put my old wheels back on, where everything is fine again. I called tirerack and they seemed to think that its not an alignment problem or hubcentric ring problem.

Anyone have any idea what it could possible be?

They probably didn't seat the rear bead all the way. With low profile tires it can look seated but aren't.

Yeah thats what tire rack suggested it might be. Hopefully they'll re-seat it without giving me trouble..

Have the garage that balanced the wheels take the car for a test ride with you if they think everything is fine. Then test ride again with your old wheels. They'll find the problem.
