Nitto Invo Review
So as some of you may know i bought a set of Nitto Invos 235/40/18. I have to say they are the best tires I've ever had.
Let me start with the handling. The only other tire i've had experience with that was really good was a set of bridgestone re050A. Well the Invos, IMHO, outclass the re050 whether in rain or dry. I used to be able to kick the rear end out a little in long wide corners but with the Nittos, i can't. The only thing i can do is grip like a **** or understeer through the corners depending on how i drive.
Now as for comfort and road noise, the Nittos win in comfort. The ride isn't as hard as it used to be. Since i'm lowered on race springs the ride can be a little teeth chattering on really bad roads. The tires absorb more impact than the re050. There is a little bit more road noise however. well the Re050s were the quietest summer performance tire i've had but the Invos are dumb loud like khumo ecsta mx tires or falken ziex.
In the rain, the Invos triumph over any tire i've ever had, be it summer tire, snow tire or all seasons. they have a huge water channel on the tire that allow the tire to just cut through the water. i've tested this a few times when i was passing through NJ last weekend. There were pools of water on the road and i was doing 55. i hit closer to the edge of the water but daym was i stable. all i had to do was hold on to the wheel harder instead of correcting a little bit.
well here are the pix of them on my car. they are 235/40/18s on 18x8 with et +38 lowered on HnR race springs on stock struts.

and of course my trademark ; )

Both excellent tires, but very different. Yours are great all seasons. The Invos are summer tires. Much better traction in the dry but don't use them if you get snow or even just cold temperatures unless you want to swap tires twice a year.
I can attest in person that they're a pretty aggressive-looking design and I'm sure they back it up on the road. The water channel is a friggin' canyon. I'm looking forward to seeing how my new tires (Falken FK452 in 235-35ZR19) handle the rain. They appear to have the water channeling capabilities of the Invos but since I got them on we haven't had the rain to properly try them out (not that I'm complaining). Hiwords, we have to meet up and swap cars soon to make some comparison notes on what each design can do. Might shed more light on the subject
ps - I really like the head-on shot from above with the wheel turned.

i didn't get them here but they're the best price anywhere online. trust me i scoured every site that sold tires. i actually got mine on ebay with 2500 miles on them in perfect condition. as you can see in the pictures the tires look brand new.

as far as the stretch go, i don't think my wheels would look good with a stretched tire on them. plus i would need spacers which wouldn't be good for me because i drive like a maniac most of the time lol.
