I have a 98 A4 Quattro 1.8t. I have no low beam headlights, pull back and the highs work.. did the clean the contacts trick, fixed the melted parts so the contacts move freely, but still no headlights? could it be anything else other than a bad switch??

 

When you clean the contacts, did you make sure the actual metal part wasn't pushed downward? Sometimes the springs get stuck after being pushed down and need a slight pull upward. For every time that I've had to do the combi switch fix, I've had to pull the spring up regardless if the contacts needed cleaning or not.

 

Fuses
