well I was going to take 6k cash and hopefully meet in the middle. Car was hit by something in the rear quarter panel before. The guy told me that. It did look like someone painted it. It wasnt bad though. I know body work people though.

The only other downside to this car is its automatic . I really wanted a clutch. Hows the automanual in these cars? They good?

I have an automatic, honestly if i could do it all over again I would because yeah the autos great for DD but it feels a lot slower than it should. BUT that being said I still feel its a great car it looks nice and still has more power than my old car (87 toyota corolla). And if you get the auto just use the excuse I use its great in traffic haha

It will be daily driven. Just sucks its not a stick in case I wanna do some stuff to it. I know I will eventually . I needed something to get me around since I already have a show car (2000 mazda millenia) that I've made a custom body kit for and other stuff. I know once I get this Audi I'm going to want to do stuff to it and regret getting the automatic. Its just so damn sexy though with the color and the interior is IMMACULATE. IDK yet what Im going to do.

you need to get specifics from him about what went into the engine and why the trans was replaced. i dont like those headlights or bumper but its up to you. you best be very familiar with the mechanics of that car or else have a large bank account to pay someone who knows what they are doing when it needs to be serviced. that is someones project, if you take over you need to know how to pickup where they left off.

thanks for the info. yeah, I think I'll stay away from it then. Learned my lesson on an eclipse 3 years ago. I guess Im going more and more towards the 99.5 with the auto tranny. I cant find one around here the same year and condition and low miles as that one. Just sucks its an automatic. Ill keep you all updated. Hopefully I can be a new Audi owner this week or weekend. Thanks for all your help and info. More is welcome .

lowest he will go is 6250 cash.

The car is a 1999.5 Audi A4 with 65k on the motor. Tiptronic transmission.Timing belt job has been done. Everything seemed to work fine.

The BAD:

Car idled kinda rough. Been hit before in the rear quarter panel. Smell of coolant in engine and a coolant leak on top of tranny case. Tapping in motor.

Worth it or not guys?
