Wow thats a problem since you have to get replacement titles in the state that the car is titled in. Try calling NY DMV and see what they have to say.

 

RI might issue a "Last Owner's Certificate".

 

i live in ny, and yeah... you definitely need a title. here, it takes like 8 weeks to reissue a title, i don't know about in mass...but i think you may have to mail them some paperwork since they have the last title that was issued for the car.

 

i guess RI is where you sell your stolen cars lol. ya you def need a title. i'd def give RI dmv and NY dmv a call and ask them what they can do about it.
