Hi all,
I am new to this forum and i am looking for help with a problem i have on my 2001 Audi A4 1.8t. What happens is that the O2 light consistently comes on when i drive above 65 mph, and comes off when i slow down below 60 mph. When i plug the OBD reader when i am stopped, of course it doesn't show anything wrong because the O2 light is off. But when i drive above 65 mph with the O2 light on, the OBD only says "Sensor" and doesn't give any code number or anything, doesn't say there is something wrong with the O2 sensor. And the car drives great, it doesn't act weird or anything, just this light comes on passed 65 mph.
No matter how hard i push the car in the low gear (3rd gear up to 64 mph), it will only comes on once i pass 65 mph and turns off below 60 mph.
Anybody has any idea on what is going on?

O2 sensor light?

since there is no such thing, I doubt that is your problem.

what you have going on here is a speed limit indicator warning that has been pre-set. Here try this:

To set speed warning 1, press the RH display button when the vehicle is at the desired speed.
To set warning 2, press the LH display button then press and hold the button for at least 2 seconds with the ignition key off. The currently stored speed will be displayed. Adjust the speed setting with the rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk Adjustment is in 5 mph increments.
The speed warning will beep and display the indicator when you exceed the set speed by 6mph (10 km/h). The warning will go out if you drive 25 mph (40 km/h) higher than the set point for more than 30 seconds.
