Default Which oil for 2000 1.8t B5? *HELP*

Hey guys.Checked my engine dipstick yesterday and there is no oil in my engine.Been getting this 3Beep noise for weeks and something told me check my oil...I read the users manual and it recommends VW 500..or something of that sort.Always heard as a kid not to mix oils..so I didn't even buy a small quantitiy to try to put back in the engine, as i've seen some guys using Castrol on here. What do you guys recommend?I need some oil ASAP as it's my only vehicle..
Car is an A4 purcahsed in 2000, B5 Chassis, 1.8 Turbo,TipTronic Transmission,142,000 Kilometers

Throw any brand oil in it for now, 5w30 -10w40. Anything in between, just something for now, never run the motor low on oil. I use Brad Penn racing oil. Used to be owned by Kendell racing. Do a search and you will find all the info you need.

Searched for oil and found almost nothing..I did some research and came up with this

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthr...correct-oil-is

I was thinking of going with Castrol..should i drain the engine and then add the oil or, can I just add the oil without having to drain it?
*Getting a filter too*

I use Mobil 1 5w-40. 0w-40 is good too. Just make sure to use a fully synthetic oil in order to increase fluidity at cold temps. and for reducing high oil temps. in the summer. It also does a better job than conventional oil for overall engine protection. Also be religious about doing oil changes on time. The 1.8t engines are known to start getting sludge when neglected.
