Default Oil additives
I'm thinking of trying some lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to try and dampen engine noise.

Has anyone tried this product? Is it safe to use on my a4 b5?

I wouldn't recommend anything like that. Just use good 0w40/5w40 oil.

I tried the lucas oil stabilizaer for one day and it increased vibration promoted rough idling and increased noise from the engine bay.

I immediately ran down to the auto store and bought some good oil and quickly did an oil flush/change. Once i started the car and drove a bit I immediately notice the difference.

DONT USE ANY LUCAS OIL ADDITIVES IN YOUR AUDI!
