Default oil change light on

Car is a 1998 A4 2.8. Under the mileage screen the text "oil replacement" pops up, even after i've changed the oil. Do I need to reset the panel or do you think theres something wrong? thanks.

That's the joys of awning an audi, u either have to own some expensive cable or have audi do it for you and reset it.... I think vagcom would be cheaper though than the stealership haha

It's easy. There are two small stalks on the gauge cluster. Key in, car off. Hold down the stalk on the right (you'll hold it down the whole time). Turn the key on (don't start the engine). Pull out the stalk on the left and the display saying Oil Service changes to "----". Release the stalk on the left and turn off the key. Release the stalk on the right. Done - when you restart the car your odometer will come right up.
