oil in fresh air side of turbo?

Default oil in fresh air side of turbo?

2001 A4 1.8T. i'm getting oil in the intake of my turbo what part after air filter does oil run through?

oil runs through the turbo to cool it....

for some reason I always have a bit of oil on my pancake valve, which is connected to the side of the turbo inlet pipe....

completely normal to blow SOME oil. If you have blue smoke out the exhaust, time to investigate.

Its called oil blow by. It comes from the PCV (positive crankcase ventalation). It comes in the intake as oil vapor and when the air cools, it turns back to oil. You will also notice that there will be oil in the ic and tb. Only way to stop this is with a oil catch can

It's normal to have a little oil. If there's pools of it, you may have a problem.
