I have taken my engine out of my 98 audi a4 1.8t to replace pretty much all of the seals bearings and gaskets and have found a leak coming from the housing that the oil filter is connected to. it uses 3 5mm allen keys to secure it and one of them is nearly impossible to get out. i was wondering if anybody knows if the housing can be taken apart so there is more access to the bastard bottom bolt as i got it out but not without some damage to the bolt?
any ideas would be great.

Take the oil cooler off by unscrewing the threaded pass-thru that your oil filter screws onto. Watch you don't lose the o-ring
