Default Oil pressure light flashing, oil level not low.

I have a 1998 audi a4 2.8
the top left light (pretty sure its low oil pressure) is constantly flashing.
I drove 40 miles on it today, no overheating, oil is in range and no antifreeze was mixed in there.
So im thinking maybe my oil pump is going bad or the sensor its self.
Where can i find that sensor at, and is there anything else that it could be?
Ill take any advice on solving this, thanks.

You could also have an obstructed oil pickup tube. Be careful driving around with that, If you don't know for certain it's a faulty sensor, you could be in for a big headache.

Have you had the car for a while? Do you know how frequent service was done on it before you owned it? If the oil changes were few and far between, this could be a sludge issue causing the oil pickup tube to be partially obstructed.

Well For the past 30k @ 160k now, I have been up to date on maintenance, and actually just replaced my oil pan a week or so ago and didn't see any major sludge. Anyone know where its at on a 2.8 30v?

Unfortunately, I do. It's on top of the oil pan between the oil cooler and the engine block. I thought it would take an hour, I was there all afternoon on a nice Sunday.

Actually somehow it just fixed itself, I think I'm going to sea-foam, and oil change soon to see what comes out..
