Default One cylinder not firing! help please!

I have 2000 a4 1.8t ATW, recently put a new head on it, after the work was completed #1 cylinder would not fire, tried everything, from swapping plugs to swapping coils, nothing fixed it. Was told a new ECU would fix it, but that had no effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Tom.

Did you try swaping injectors?
Did you reset the fault codes after swaping the components?
What is the compression of the misfiring cylinder?

Remember , the ecm will shut down fuel to a cylinder that is misfiring. You have to reset faults after swaping.

This may be a silly question, but was a compression check was performed with successful results? And have you tried swapping injectors? If none of that works it could be a fault in the wire harness.

EDIT: Beat me to it by 2 minutes. But we both had similar questions!
