The point of having a carbon fiber anything is that it is lighter and thus faster, this stuff, no.

You're right that is the REAL point of carbon fiber, but people are using it just as much for looks as performance.

If you have a 2.8 i'd say take the wood trip strips that span the interior and wrap them. But that's because i can't stand fake wood grain.

Wrap it around your face... J/K! The main point to CF is to make the car lighter... Adding vinyl like that is in reality doing the opposite! And of course it's cheaper it isn't real!

Since few of us are going to put the expense of real CF in our decade-old cars because of a need to lighten them for speed, do it up. Jiggleo does parts for sale with a high-quality version and it looks great IMO. I have my center dash wrapped in dry carbon from him, a2thy has several exterior parts done by him, and Hiwords had a full beltline trimset in his old B5. If you're doing it for style purposes, it looks good and I think you'll like it.

I'm not crazy about this... I think our cars are too classy for fake cf... But maybe that's just me.
