ordered a DV... now what

Default ordered a DV... now what

hey everyone, i am getting chipped next week so i got a 710N DV and a boost gauge... i was looking at the DIY page and saw one for a pre 99.5 or something and i have a 2000... was curious if there are any good DIY for post 99.5 ? also... any recommendations on the easiest way to install a boost gauge? thanks a lot!!!

its really easy to install a DV

and boot gauge just tap into the vac line. in either spot numberd 1 and 2

i tapped into spot 1 on my car, just so i dont have long cables everywhere, and my gauge sits in my drivers side vent. i got power from the dial lights

thanks a lot... but how do you get the wire from in the cockpit to the engine bay? is there a hole in the firewall or anything

and AH i just looked at that DIY and apparantely thats different than mine is... (i have a 2000 and thats a 97) i heard they are in different locations and what not, let me know thanks a lot

i made a hole, ran through the trunk release switch, and pulled the gromet out under the hood and snaked it with a wire hanger... then i sealed the hole with silicone i had a really bad leak cause i didnt seal the hole at first

oh so then yours is like mine

jack the car up take off the skid plate and you will see one of these



pull it out and put the new one in, its way easier than the 97....

should look something like this

you could also run the wire through the ECU box to avoid filling anything with silicone. if y ou take off your knee bolster and ecu cover, you can actually see light coming through so you'll have no trouble find the tube

that works too, and since your getting chipped, install your gauge when u have to take your ecu out
