P0011 and P0012
2001 A4, recently purchased car with bank 1: Camshaft A intake over advanced. She was told that timing belt was recently replaced so I figured they were off a tooth however when crankshaft is aligned (confirmed both at front and at trans) the cam mark does not align. If I move it one tooth over it is misaligned by same amount on opposite side of mark and results in Camshaft A intake retarded. Old cam adjuster measured out fine at 17-18ohms however I reluctantly replaced it anyways as she already purchased the part with no luck. I also don’t hear the typical noise when cold if issue is caused by low oil pressure as a result of the clogged pickup tube. You can drive the car for 50-60 miles before the codes come back on after clearing them. I see some posts about the fuel pump relay and was wondering how this can be connected to the cam adjust system and how to test the relay to know if this is the issue? Any other ideas?
