Default headlight alignment

I have a 00 a4 Quattro with the H.I.D. lighting and the driver side light beam sits just enough lower than the passenger side to be annoying.

I have tried to adjust them, but anyway I adjust, its like it readjusts the projector. Is there a leveling sensor or something I can adjust?
I appreciate any help you guys/gals can offer.

I know factory HID headlights came with auto headlight leveller. I think there are screws mounted on top to adjust the lamps.

They auto-adjust back because thats where they're supposed to be. The driver's side headlight cutoff should be stepped so as not to blind oncoming traffic

ehhh as i recall that little flapper thing just controls the cutoff of the projectors. Its stepped one way for RHD, the other for LHD-again, so as not to blind oncoming traffic. Is it possible you've been adjusting the highbeams by mistake?

driver's side is supposed to be lower due to, as mentioned, the stepped cutoff.

I think you need to put the headlights in adjustment mode with a VAGCOM when you move the screw so they dont move back to where they were.

I found an old post with the directions for setting the lights with the vagcom. Apparently that's what needs to be done. I just bought the cheap eBay wire and ross-tech 311.2. When i attempt to connect it sais something about baud failure re-attempting, and it will try a few times and continues to fail to connect.

I guess thats a whole different thread of questioning.
I did not know the headlight should be stepped like that. Every car that I have driven with h.i.d. lights have had a continuous cut off line. s2k, slk, infinity, even 3 series I remember being a clean line.
I dunno, I guess I don't have to worry about it if it will continue to re-set to that.

Try going to settings and readjusting the baud rate: i think they are either 10400, 9600, and 4800.. Can you connect to other modules?

No, it will not allow me to connect to any module. It will connect to obdII, but then says this is an audi, seat, skoda, etc and please select a module.
