painting the chrome 2.8 trim
So i got my black 19s a few days ago and now i want to finish the look of my car... I want to get the outside trim on the car to be flat black... should i leave it on the car and paint, take it off and paint it??? what would be the best? also i want to paint my rings on the back of the car black.. what is the best product to use to replace the rings back onto the car... or should i just mask the **** out of them and paint them directly on the car thanks guys!
Use a heat gun (not a blow dryer) on the badge to warm up the glue underneath and pry it off. Cant really do the back without doing the front though, and you gotta (should) remove the grill for that. For the window trim id leave it on. Will be tedious prep and finishing work, but do able.
yea i was def gonna do the front grill but that ones easy to get the rings off of... per prepping and painting the window trim how should i go about that... and is there a good paint out there that i can use... i dont have a compressor anymore so paintgun is out of the question at the moment... i just dont want to be repainting the trim every six months or so when it starts to fade or anything.. and also what should i use to put the back rings back onto the car??? is there special glue i can find??
