Default Painting hood cost

So the short version of the story is I need a new hood and passenger side headlight and I have a few questions that searching didn't help me answer.

1. How much did it cost you to have a new hood (not striped or anything) painted a stock factory color?
2. I can have my local shop order a hood but I'd like to look around on the internet, are there any online stores that sell oem or quality parts like that?
3. Who sells carbon fiber hoods and whats the cost? I was told a hood would be $450 and paint is another $400. So if a carbon hood is near that price it would be better to just go carbon. All the hardware from my hood is still fine.

Also does anyone have pics of a carbon hood on a brilliant black a4.

If anyone has a hood or headlight housing for sale please let me know.

Here's a link for a brand new hood, painted the factory color of your car *CLICK HERE*
you'll be payin $505 painted and shipped (not too bad IMO)

Here's a true VIS Carbon fiber hood, I know that a couple of the guys on here run them and they look very quality *click here*
you'll be payin $545 (pretty decent price IMO)

These are the headlights I bought last year *click here*. they are freakin great!...I didnt use any silicone, and have had no fogging issues...on top of that there is absolutely no cutting! they are really good lookin and super affordable, if you want to see better pics just check out my gallery! they only cost $145 and they look amazing!

good luck, sorry to hear your front end got trashed [&o]

edit: forgot link...lol

I've decided to go CF since it will cost less or very close to getting a new hood and having it painted. Problem with the hood you sent me is it has the washers in it and I have a 2000 so mine aren't in the hood. I think it looks way way better when their not in the hood. I'll probably get a VIS from ebay or carbonfiberhoods.com and I'll run hood pins from hoodpins.net

my bad...didn't even notice that you were a 2000...they definately look better without the washers on the hood....

you might want to ask the seller of the cf hood in the link if it has washe holes in it...usually you have to cut them yoursel

well, gl, im sure it'll look good! can't wait to see pics!
