Can anyone Confirm that the OEM part number for a 1996 manual 2.8l 12v motor Throttle Cable is: 8d1 721 555 AD?

Kind of a specific question, but I need to order a throttle cable for my car.

Well, one dealership has the part number ending in AD the other dealership has the part number ending in AH... both tell the the other dealership is nuts. I thought I'd head to a realiable source: Audi Forums. I can't decipher which is for manual and which is for automatic. It's a pain in the ***. I'm told 4 day lead time and it's special order $47.50 w/ 50% non-refundable. They both said I'd take responsibility to do the research on what part# Ineed.

audi is notorious for changin part numbers mid years and engine codes. if you tell them " i have a 2001.5 with an AWM engine" they should both give you the same part number. also PM auditech79 after all he is/was and audi thech for a while
