i have a 2000 a4 and my front passenger door has multiple spots where its been hit and the paint is fading so my ? is can i get a 97 door and make it look the same as my other doors

 

if you get the door shell and transfer everything over, exterior door handle, lower trim, center door trim, then yes it'll work but why would you go and do all of that if you could get a door from a 99.5-2001.5 and just swap it on lol. make sure it's a 1.8t donor car so you don't have the chrome piece on the window

 

the reason for the 97 door is because someone i know totalled their car and i get the door and any part for free

 

i think the center door trim is different. idk if you can transfer it from yours to his and make it look good. i forget if the door lock cylinder is part of the 97 door or if it's removable.

 

no dont do it, that would just be plain silly to do
