2.8 is a v6 with completely different flow and engine characteristics, the exhaust notes will always sound different.

My judgement may have been rash, I left the shop at rush hour. And I did buy a Magnaflow which are know for being quite at low RPM's.

There is a difference, the exhaust has much more a tuned sound too. It's deeper, and the exhaust note with the windows up and the A/C on inside the cabin is nice.

I was hoping for slightly louder at low RPM and speeds, but I really want to avoid the loudness that I hear on a lot of 4cyc cars that just draws to much attention to a car that is barely moving. I think you all know what I mean, when you see the rice rocket making tons of noise, but it's only going 35mph.

If the 1.8t had been done with a factory tuned sport exhaust, it might sound like this.

The decibel level was a lot more noticeable on the highway and in the higher RPM range. Anything under 3K it's quite, no drone.

And most likely, won't ever get me noticed by cops for my exhaust. Which is a plus, because they like writing exhaust tickets here.

It started raining, so I plan on putting up a video whenever it's nice again. I already recorded the before.

I will say, right now I'm running completely stock exhaust with a magnaflow, some folks get 2.5 with a after-market resonator, which would produce a different sound from a 2.25 with the stock resonator.

I think I'll wait a month or two before I make up my mind on weather I will adjust the exhaust more. One day isn't really enough to make a good judgement.

My Pimptastic timeline is going to turn into me bitching.

Double sided tap isn't worth ****. Don't use it for you HID's, who knows if this thing will work tomorrow when I hook it back up. I'm just glad it feel off when I had the windows down and was only going down a 35mph street and could pull over once I noticed something was wrong.

My DDM Hid kit fell off the car and got dragged and then ran over.

If this still works tomorrow, I guess everyone here will know about the quality of a DMM ballast.

Not as loud or throaty as I hoped. However, it most likely won't draw unwanted cop attention. And I know people say exhaust doesn't increase much if any power, but I swear I feel a difference. Even if it's in my head.

I kind of wish the shop would have lined it up further back. It sure does look pretty though.

On a side note, I've decided my next mod is to go low and get new rims/tires. Placing my orders on Monday.

It looks like the muffler is hanging too low. Shouldn't it sit a little higher and closer to the valance?

Edit: Kinda like this -

Yeah I think so too. I also think it sits out a lil too far. I wasn't super happy with that, which is why I think later I'll take it to a different shop, even though this one came recommended. They work on more ricers, and every rice rocket I see has it's freaking exhaust hanging out and bent half way up the bumper. Not what I wanted.
