Southbend Stage 2

And I should add I'm guilty of not lowering the car despite the fact that the H&R springs have been in the trunk since July.

Nope, I totally plan to run the original shocks after a lengthy discussion on zine. And after checking another forum, the correction is, I've had these damn things since May. Holy crap!

I do need some new updated photos.

here, new front plate:

I'm heading down to St. Pete Florida this Friday, so maybe I'll take some new pictures when there.

Oh and I just ordered a freaking boost gauge, something I should of done like way forever ago.

Business keeps me distracted. Plus we are moving from Va to Florida, or in the process. Hopefully once settled, I'd like to get serious about some performance mods. Unless I just buy a vette like I've been contemplating.

What about chevy interests you? I mean the new ones look good and are actually fast but other than that they do nothing for me.

Well here is the thing about Chevy, it's my roots. Literally, two uncles who worked for GM, and my first car was 89 Camaro RS, second car was a 87 Camaro IROC-Z, then I bought a 92 chevy cavalier z24 as a daily commuter the older box style one, and rebuilt that engine into a little ricer rocker eater. Then I briefly owned an 01 Mustang GT it got totaled in an accident, so I bought a 99 Trans Am, hit some hard times sold it, and came across an 92 Oldsmobile Bravada one owner with 72K miles for 900$. I had just gotten a dog and was getting back into climbing and camping so I bought it. Add to this long list, I ran a local Camaro club for 5 years and have worked on numerous chevy's with friends.

After I got married and started my business I felt I wanted something more professional looking, so I bought the Audi.

To be honest, I kind of bought the A4 for the wrong reasons.

Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of the B5 and it's paid for. I really love the looks of the newer S5 series. Sexy sexy beasts. But ya know, I kind of like being debt free too.

Anyone who has worked on a similar number of engines knows it's really frustrating when you don't know what your doing. And to boil it down, there have been more than a few mechanical issues where I just didn't understand this engine. My wife has a Trailblazer, and when it's got a problem, I've got it fixed in an hour. The Audi, I'm searching forums, looking for things, stressing out, etc.

I know it's a learning curve, but I'm kind of over working on cars, I just want things to work. And secondly, it's frustrating when you know how to fix things, but then you've got something you don't know about. Like me wondering where the heck the Diverter Valve was the other day.

I mean I can troubleshoot and find my way around a LS1 or 4.6L v6 with a blind fold on.

The last part of it is, POWER. I know I could have a turbo kit because I've looked and make some easy power under the 4K mark. I really thought hard about the GTRS. But, and if all this hasn't convinced you, I'm a V8 guy, plan and simple. Really, the vette fits me more than the Audi does. Plan and simple. Unless I come up with 100K in which case I'll bypass the vette and go straight to the V12 R8.

So yeah, there is my extremely long reason why I'm considering a vette.

But don't threat, I'm **** about every car I've owned. I seriously wash and clean the Audi once every two weeks. And I plan on taking good car of her until I send her off to a new home. But that probably won't be until after I move to St. Petersburg, FL.

V8 guy huh? Sounds like you need a 4.2 S4 in your life.

Seriously though, I don't think any true car enthusiast would mock you for picking up what makes you happy.

Well I installed a boost gauge today and I do believe I have finally finished sealing up all the boost leaks.

I'm holding between 9-10 psi when driving around town, I'm assuming that is stock.

On another note, I was just re-reading all this, and I was originally disappointed in my muffler. Well I'd like to add before I had the resonator removed the sound and tone increased over time. Not sure if there is a break in period with a muffler, but overall it did get louder and deeper after a couple of months. I really do like the way it sounds now.

Some newer pictures
