Pioneer AVIC-X920BT?
Does anybody have this headunit installed in their b5? My friend and I were talking about our cars today and I mentioned how I like to keep everything stock although I would love an in-dash GPS. He told me to look at Pioneer and I saw this model. I think it would look pretty stock because of the red back-lighting. Plus, I love that it doesn't have a million buttons and ***** with bright back-lights like the "ghetto" headunits as I like to call them. So has anybody installed this headunit in their b5, I would love to see some pics? Thanks!

Also, would it work with the stock Bose speakers? As I've said, I like to keep everything stock and I don't want to go through an entire retrofitting.

I would sell the head unit and speakers, together if you really wanted it but if you want it to be cheaper, just buy the head unit.
I have the headunit, wire Harness for our Audi A4 B5 and antenna adapter, you would have to purchase a dash kit,you can find them cheap on the bay. You can buy a amp and sub woofer on the bay or craigslist,if you want to pump it up! ^_^
i myself have installed a Pioneer AVIC f900bt and it looks awesomely STOCK and its a great expandable system. There is no difference between the f900bt and the f920bt, just the software, which i have updated thanks too avic411.com.

i also used the stock speakers as replacing the stock speakers are a bit of an ordeal as they have 3 point screws vs the usual 4 point screws of round speakers...making matters worse, the front speaker is actually a size 4.5" round, and the rear is your usual 6.5", but as I said, 3 point screws, which will force the installer to make some custom ring adapters, im planning on using some flatstock abs plastic and custom making a ring to fit a aftermarket speaker
P.S. i have an Avant

anyone else have a different set up? if so, what did you do??? pics would be wonderful....i'm also considering removing the stock rear 6" an dthe whole casing thats its installed on in my avant, where the factory CD changer used to be and the phatbox was once installed. I'm thinking of removing that whole unit and use it as a foundation to build a custom fiberglass box the exact same shape so it bolts right on to house maybe 2 10" or one 15..not sure which way ima go yet......guess i'll keep you guys posted
