i have a question here. i have a 96 a4 2.8 and if you have an audi you must know that under the engine in the front between the wheels there is a big black pastic cover ( i dont know what its called)...well, mine got caught in snow and broke off. is this an important piece?? and where could i find one??

 

It's a belly pan - I run my car without it

 

The belly pan is know for breaking you can buy a new 1 for about $100 (i think), or buy a aluminum (panzer) from desielgeek.

 

i ran one on the audi for a bit. then it cracked so i took it off

 

most people remove it on oil changes because its a pain in the but and worthless ( its classed as sound proofing ) but known as an oil drip tray

 

i like it cause it protects everything underneath . . . its put there for a reason ya know?

 

so are spoilers but they also do nothing but make it look sporty

 

its fiberglass not plastic

 

It doesn't protect **** if you run over a big rock your oil pan is still going to be cracked, but with it there you might not notice it.

 

its plastic mate but i guarantee its not fiberglass
