Looking into poss purchase of a 2001 S4 as a daily driver.

Can you tell me specifics of this model that I need to look out for?

I've heard about the VW/Audi sludge issue, is this true with the S4 twin turbo also?

Car has 137k, second owner, chipped, otherwise stock, recent water pump, t belt, rotors, etc. says he has a 2 year transfer warranty on turbo & motor?

Any input would be appreciated.

 

IDK about any warranties but I would ask if the turbos have been replaced as that is a notorious issue on the S4's. Just remember that these cars are pretty pricey to maintain moreso if you do not do the work and for most anything on an S4 the motor has to be taken out.
