Default possible problem??

i've got a 98 2.8 quattro, and it seems when i turn the wheels to the left from a stop sign, or light it seems to drag, or kind of hesitate just a noticeable amount, and i've been noticing a decrease in gas mileage.
could this be a bad drive shaft to the front passenger wheel? hopefully not

Is there any noise coming from that part of the car when you turn the wheel? to the left like a squeak or a rattling noise? My A4 bog's a bit down when i accelerate when im making a hard left or hard right i would think this is normal.

theres no rattling or squeaking yet, and it doesn't really bog down, its just like it doesn't want to turn, if that makes sense.
another question, everytime i hit a bump in the road i can hear the suspension kind of grunting in the front. bad strut?

Hard to say. You or someone who knows what to look for should have a look underneath. Bad control arm bushings/balljoints can cause drag in the steering, I guess, and certainly noises.

yeah, i suppose. i'm willing to bet the bushings have never been replaced. its got 157k miles on it now, and the guy that had it before me was an absolute dumbass.

he took it in to the shop and had the cigarette lighter replaced because it wouldnt go in for some reason and it cost him almost $300 from what the paperwork says.

lol... A regular lighter costs 90 cents... Thats pretty funny.

If you are on original control arms @150k, then yeah, they are probably done. If you end up needing them, check out FCP Grotan kit on ebay.
