Default possible project

so i've been thinking...

how ridiculous would it be to put a 4cyl. cummins diesel into an a4?

60mpg and tons of power

i was thinking about making some custom engine mounts, a spacer/adapter to mount the factory quattro tranny to the cummins.

any possible way this would work?

Extremely ridiculous. Smart money decisions and healthy sanity levels are so over rated. Go for it.

i've talked to some people, and they say that they are too havy and too tall. i dont think so! if i need to i'll cut a hole in the hood lol. nothin a little beefier suspension cant handle.

i've found complete motors on ebay for around 2800-3500 so far. if i do try to pursue this it will be very difficult, since i haven't really messed around with diesel too much but would love to begin!

youtube has a bunch of videos of people putting them into broncos and rangers and what not. if one of those things can fit in a ranger it can fit in my car

A4 TDI were available overseas. Obtaining parts for a tdi swap would be much easier than a cummins
