Default Power Lock Pump

The locks on my B5 won't work anymore and my guy at the local tuner shop said that he's seen this before and that its i believe the vacuum pump for the locks. I was curious if anyone else has run into this and if it is able to be done by myself with basic tools. Sucks not being able to have auto entry and having to use my key to open my door for my girlfriend.

Thanks
-Jon

Yup, that sux. I have the same problem. In my case it's the broken center wheel. When I get the time I'm going to go to a local juckyard and pull one out of an old jetta. a new one from the dealer is the whole assembly for $500.
Good luck man. This is what it looks like.
