Power steering

Default Power steering

Got a question my power steering cooler line ripped off on the freeway got a new 1 and now my power steerig doesnt work there a special way to bleeding the system on a 99 a4 1.8L?

All you have to do is fill it full of fluid and crank the wheel to the extreme right then extreme left several times until the air finds its way out..

Remember it uses mineral oil.. Not prestone.

With the cap off the resovoir right?

It shouldn't matter.. You just need to make sure it stays full as you bleed it

Ive been doinf this for 10 mins that should be plenty of time eh? But still nothing..

Are there any whining noises or leaks? And what quality replacement pump did you put in.

They say 10 times back and forth.. But be sure to go to the extremes or your wasting your time..

Yeah i hooked everything up properly... I just orderred the new pump on my 99 a4 1.8L ... Looks like its goong to be a biatch
