Default Power up a 1996 2.8L

What are the best ways to gain power with a 2.8L since turbo charging isn't possible.

you CAN turbocharge it, just depends on what you wanna spend.

other than that you can do basic mods: intake, exhaust. P&P TB, Ported MAF, etc...just get it to breathe a little better, but it will by no means be FAST.

you could always do a nitrous setup for cheap, instant power.

Weeeell...
You could get a super charger, but they are only guaranteed to work and DOHC 2.8L.
You can do a turbo, but it's a bi***. I knew some one who had a little k03 off a 1.8t that he wanted to put in. Turns out it was cheaper and WAY easier to just do an engine swap to a DOHC.
I know of one car that found some camshafts from Europe.
Basically your best best is to do some upper engine work.
That's not an easy motor to get gains out of.

its a waste of money to try an make fast... if u wanted a car for power upgrades u shoulda got a 1.8t... theres a reason most of the v6 guys say "slow and low" cuz thats all theyre good for is getting low and being slow haha

The easiest way to get more power out of the 2.8 is to sell it and buy a 1.8T!!!
