Problem!
Hey every one I haven't posted here in forever but im having a bit of a problem.
My 97 2.8 quattro m, has been parked in my garage for about a year now. I've been saving it for when my lil bro got his license. So ever since its been parked I've ran it at least once every 3 months. But today it started up got the cel light and died after about 10 seconds. it had a quarter tank of gas in it so i put in a few ounces of sea foam injector cleaner. no help after a few tries i got it to stay started but it idled really bad so i cut it but right before i cut it the last time i got the oil pressure warning and the beeping. I then checked my oil levels which are fine but the oil looked dark and shitty. I started it one more time 15 min ago idled a bit better no warning light at first drove it to the end of the drive way and turned around to come back then i got the warning again.
1)Do you think just an oil change will fix the problem
2) is it the oil pump thats the problem or something else..
3) could the rough idle be an ecm problem?
Any input would be appreciated

RE: Problem!
I would start by dropping a half a can of Seafoam into the crankcase and then drive it around to allow theSeafoam to do its magic. You can then do an oil change soon afterand then see how it's running or if it's still throwing any codes.
