^This. A new expansion tank will do wonders for the aesthetics of yer engine bay. Lookin good so far though!

EDIT: The other thing that would help clean it up is a set of covers for the battery/rain tray. DTH used to sell them, lemme see if i can find them now that they're not around anymore.

Yup the white B6 tank is a great visual upgrade. Putting mine in at timing belt time.

Replacing the coolant tank was one of the first things I did. I replaced it with a new B5 tank, I didn't know the nice white B6 one is identical.

looks good so far... not feeling the led strip though.. I have an expansion tank from some b6 (I think) and it doesn't fit perfectly in my aeb 1.8t. I only got it because it was a few bucks. not sure why you wouldn't just get the white/clear one that came on b5's. I recommend the cheap ebay led's for the interior or anywhere. any pictures of the clean car outside of the hood?
