Default Purchased 01 1.8TQ

I was looking for semi-luxury daily beater for work commutes (a-to-b). I picked up this four banger black/black, auto, 120K miles for $4.200. It had TM changed at 116K miles which was a good selling point. So far I did the following:

Wheel bearings
Coil pack for two cylinders
New tires (ordered)

Next, will be changing oil and installing HID like bulbs. The vehicle is one owner and stock.

Don't mind Phil, he's a little A-hole sometime... still jealous about the whole quattro thing I think... (love ya buddy).

Anyway, like A4speed said, welcome to the forums. If you need any ideas, or have a couple problems some time, this is definately a great place to learn almost anything you need... B5 owners are proud and love their cars (and no one here calls their B5 a beater, even if most of us know we own one...haha).

You just disrespected the 4 rings. You will die in your car now. Hahahaha no but really good job picking that up, sounds like a good deal.

...and now we play the waiting game until he reads the sticky posts up top and sees just how much power is waiting to be unleashed from that engine...

Welcome to AF, and throw some pics up - we love pics of A4s and can probably guide you to some tasteful cosmetic upgrades and well-deserved power mods.

Hey guy, sick ride!
Wondering what kind and size of rims and brand and size of tires of your ride?
Was it lowered--if so by how much and what means by which did you achieve this? thanks.

Thank you The wheels are 18" Flik Wasp in gunmetal with Michelin Pilot Sport tires in 225-40ZR18 size. In that picture the car was only lowered about a half inch as I was running an OEM S4 suspension. I swapped that out four days ago for a set of Vmaxx coilovers and the car is now 2 1/4" lower than that in front and 2 1/2" lower in the rear. I haven't gotten pics up of the drop yet but will be soon.

zver first welcome to the site and second did the thought of a chip ever cross your mind? Theres a group buy on the forums right now for a GIAC chip 270 including shipping. Nothing wrong going from point A to point B with a little more power
