I change my Every 10,000 Miles. I use Pento Oil. If you use the Regular Oil, you will damage the Turbo and the rest. What I meant was that you don't get 10,000 Miles out of regular oil. Also, make sure you have the High Capacity Oil Filter installed. Do check your Turbo Oil lines.

How do you figure....? Audi used conventional oil factory with the 1.8 and 2.8's.

They changed over to synthetic NOT because of damage to the turbo or other things. But they were begginging to have sludge issues.

If your Car has a Turbo, you should be putting Good synthetic Oil in your Car. Turbos Run Very Hot when they are doing Work. Conventional Oils can not handle these temperatures after certain Milage. Depending on how you drive, your Turbo has some thermal Lag when the engine is shut off and any oil in the housing of the Turbo will be exposed to this heat, which could degrade the oil and reduce its effect on protection. If you are putting Conventional Oil in your Car, Turbo,,, there is a good chance you will reduce the life of your turbo. If you do use conventional Oil, then change your oil every 3000 Miles.

I would say somewhere between 300 Mile and Above. Your Piston Rings have a lot to do with it. The high Milage Cars do it faster. do a compression test.
