Default Question about headlight bulbs

Im going to install hid's in the foglights so i know i need to get ballasts for those, but since i have the factory hid package which the headlights use d2s bulbs im assuming i dont need ballasts for those and i can just buy hid d2s bulbs and put them in? Can someone verify this?

Thanks

You need a full HID kit for the fogs. If you're replacing the low beams, just buy D2S bulbs. Are you doing that for a different color temp or something?

PM EmilGevor for the D2s bulbs. I got a pair of 6000k bulbs from him and I love them.

This. Get some LEDs from him too. A bunch of us have the full range of his lighting products (HIDs, LED interior, license plate, and reverse lights) and love them. The car looks **** with the whole thing done up. Absolutely worth it.

Im probably going to do 10k up top, and 3000k fog lights. I have the same setup on my pathfinder, and 06 sonata.

I was thinking about reversing it though, i havent seen that ever, 3000k up top and 10k for foglights.

Or i was even thinking maybe doing 3000k up top and bottom, but it takes away from the high end look in my eye.

10k and 3k give a perfect look for me, and they give more than enough output also.

Stick with 8k at the most and 3k for fogs but dont put 3k in lows. Its illegal in most states to run 3000k as low beam.

Just for your information, anything over 4300K and you actually start "losing" usable light. So if it's intensity you're looking for, I would not go above 5000K.

I'm with these guys. I ran 8000k on my old A4 and I hated it. Way too purple for me and not very bright. They were better than the stock halogen reflectors but I'm much more happy with the 6000k xenons I've got in my car now. I can't even imagine what 10000k would look like. Also Emil is right, running 3000k low beams is illegal
