Default Question about Panzer plate install

Guys,

I'm getting ready to install a Panzer plate on my Avant. I'm thumbing through the instructions and there is mention of greasing two of the 10mm bolts & corresponding washers. What type of grease should I be using for this? The closest thing I have in the garage is white lithium grease, but I don't think that will stand up to the elements well.

Turns out I had bearing grease & used that. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hope you have a better time with the install than i did - the instructions from dieselgeek.com were WAY overdone, and overly complex.
Just put the wings on, put in the rivnuts, and be done with it.

BTW - not knocking the panzer plate, i fu&*in LOVE mine. Its already saved my oilpan.

The install sucked. Took way longer than it should have because things didn't really line up the way they should have. I had a lot of trouble with the passenger side of the front spoiler where the plate didn't want to stay in it when things lined up. This also became a factor when trying to attach the plate to the wheel well. I literally had to use my jack to push the plate up high enough to get things to line up correctly. I also had to eliminate one of the nylon washers on the drivers side of the front of the plate because the screw wouldn't engage with it in place.

Now I'm not looking forward to my next oil change.
