Well the pump on my 99.5 1.8t **** the bed a few days ago. i was just wondering if the pumps on other models from similar years were interchangeable.
such as quattro vs non quattro, 1.8t vs 2.8 ect ect. Just asking because if they are i could find a few at the local wreckers. The stealership wanted around $500 for one, and third party was around $390 and the wreckers are around $50-100

 

No they aren't - FWD and quattro have fuel tanks shaped differently, and I believe 1.8T and 2.8 differ also. Check part numbers for various fuel pumps on AutoZobe's website. That'll tell you if any share the pump. Look at Passats and A6s too.
