Default Quick Sway Bar Question

So I stumbled upon a set of B5 A6 All Road Quattro sway bars and am wondering if the rear will bolt up to my A4. I know factory the A6 All Road came with an 18mm Rear Sway Bar but I'm wondering if it's too long. For the price, I may just buy em and try it. Anyone care to chime in??

Thanks

The S4 rear sway bar will fit, but I don't think the A6 will. They are different part numbers and after looking at the pics of the bar in here, the shape is all sorts of wrong.

Just get an S4 rear bar on the cheap or an aftermarket one. If you get a bigger aftermarket, make sure you get the reinforcement brackets for the subframe.

I found an S4 rear sway bar for $40 locally and it made a big improvement. The stock A4 is ~12mm and the S4 is ~15-16mm. Paired with metal endlinks, it makes a cheap, easy improvement.

OP, for future reference, the A6 was a "C" chassis, not a "B" like our A4's and S4's. For example; The B5 A4 ran from MY 96-01 in the states and the C5 A6 ran from MY 97-04.

As already mentioned, S4 sway bars are a great, cheap improvement.

I have F&R S4 bars on my car. I'm thinking about it now though...and I'm going to put the A4 front bar on and take it for a spin, see if it's any more rear end happy.

Should get a little more tail happy. If not, sell the S4 bars for a thicker rear bar with your stock A4 bar.

I expect it will. Either way the S4 bars are fine for me for now.

Sucks not having a job, having time, but not a whole lot to do to the car for cheap.
