My transmission in me 2001 Audi A4 Quattro (Auto) recently failed me and I was looking to buy a used one online since everywhere around me have them way over-priced.

My question is, will an automatic Passat transmission work in my A4? I found this one on ebay as was wondering if it'd work?

Please get back to me as soon as possible. I know it says in the description that it will fit but I wanted to check with some Audi guys first cause you can't always trust whats on ebay.

 

Maybe....depends. This chart from Bentley says they did put the EZS in the 1.8 2001. But be careful. Another part of this chart I'm not posting says they also used the DDT without CAN-bus. If you had that trans, I'm not sure your electronics will talk to the EZS. I don't know that side of it, I'm just reading. I also note that the chart is picky about which T-converter goes with which trans.
