Default radio help

Alright so, I disconnected my CD changer a while ago (it didn't work when I got the car) I left it simply unplugged for a while but then today I decided to be stupid.[:@] I cut the plug off the end of the harness in the trunk for the CD changer... I didn't think this would do anything because my changer had been unplugged... however my radio does not power up at all now.
What happened and how can I make my radio work?

that should not have killed your radio. check to see if any of the wire are touching, something weird could be shorted. why did you cut it lol, if it's for weight reduction, it won't do much lmao.

Haha, I like the idea of it being weight reduction.

No, I was attempting to wire in an AUX input of some sort. I believe it is possible, however I do think I got a weird short somewhere when I cut the wires it must have pushed them together... I just hope there is a fuse somewhere that kept my radio from being toast.

I talked to my father about it (he was a sound engineer and is now a master electrician) he said it sounds like I shorted something. I showed him the wire diagram and he thinks I sent power back into the radio . I might be looking into an after market unit...
