Hi all. I'm based in the UK and have a 2009/58 plate Q7 3.0 TDI.

Today, I found the stereo was suddenly not working (was fine last night). The MMI display is on, I can select tracks, but the timer next to the track just shows "0:00". The "mute" icon is not showing, and turning the volume **** does nothing. I also tried switching to radio, and can select stations, but nothing plays.

I've tried the "3 button mmi reset", and also tried removing a number of fuses (cd/dvd, mmi, communication).

Unfortunately, the car is out of warranty. Any idea what this might be ? And is there a better (cheaper!) way of having this fixed, than taking it to Audi ?
