Default random sputter?

Hey was wondering if anyone has any idea what happened to my car? I was cruising around 35-40, no brakes being used, and out of no where a sudden sputter and the abs and brake light came on for only a second or 2. ive owned the car for 2 years and i replaced the engine with a 20 valve instead of the 16 valve. car ran fine and still does. just wondering what happened?

Notes:
5 speed, was not changing gears
CEL is always on due to straight pipe(no cat)
E brake does nothing (I need to replace it)
rear calipers are both frozen & rear brake pads are at about 2mm/ rotors are junk.

Since your rear calipers are frozen and rotors are junk, abs and brake light came on because the speed sensor is sensing the bad rotor turning round and round........at a different rotation speed than the other wheels.....
