Honestly Redmond, if I thought it would help I'd pull a wheel and take a picture of mine. But mine are the smaller metal ones if I recall correctly. Not sure how much it would help.

So here's a side-by-side image of the GSP aftermarket axle and an OEM axle. The outer boot on the GSP is larger.

Mtroxel: thanks for offering..

There ya go. The new boot goes down the axle quite a bit farther. I think if you put that CV boot on my axle I'd get some clearance problems too.

I'm kinda stuck because I need to drive for the holiday. Wondering if I should go back to Advance Auto Parts and make a huge stink.

If you do, you'd better take their axles back with you. If you're in their shoes, I'm not sure you can do much except give your money back. Just looking at your pics, I'd swear the diameter of the axle is a bit bigger too. Just not a good part.

Good point. I'll have to rebuild my OEM axles and bring these back next weekend.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you sure that you have the end links on the correct side. There are different part numbers for the end links because they have a kink in them to allow clearance for the rear axles. The PO of my car put them on the wrong way and I noticed that the shaft had worn half way through the plastic.

I have also installed reman axles with different boots and with the metal endlinks have no clearance issues with the axles.

I got some metal uplinks from Napa and they worked out fine. Plenty of clearance. I had also cut some 8mm thick aluminum spacers out of aluminum stock, but didn't need the spacers.
