Default Rebuilt or used tranny......

Anyone on the eastcoast ever put in a tranny? I am on the verge of buying a a rebuilt or used tranny,i am not sure which i am going to go with, used or rebuilt.

I have a appointment at my local Audi stealership tuesday, the 1st,they are going to give Audina a check up from the tale pipe up!, once they give me a disagnosis on what's causing Audina to not want to shift into 4th gear and if it is the tranny and not my TCM,i have my eyes on a few from a site i found,i am looking for someone to drop in a tranny for me, anyone of you guys up for the challenge or know anyone that would be?

I'd pay ofcorse for the labor, just hope you guys will give me a deal on the labor.

I also need advice on if i should buy a used or rebuilt tranny, what are the trade offs? ,is it to be assumed that the rebuilt tranny will have better replacement parts and thus better quality than a used tranny with OEM parts at low milage? say 36k?

http://www.automotix.net/usedtransmi...89d&seq_num=17

above is a list of used trannies,i would buy the lowest milage tranny at 36k if anything. below is 1 rebuilt tranny with options for 1-5 years warranty

I need you guys professional and personal opinion about this,i am goin in on Audina, there will be no turning back once i pull the trigger,i'm going all out for her, she's gonna be in it for the long haul,no bull spit!

I checked ECSTuning.com and shokan.com there were no used or rebuilt transmissions to be found on either site, ran a search and manually selected 01 A4 B5 criteria and nothing.....

www.car-parts.com

There are a couple hundred of them there and most of them are between $400-600.
