I've had my VVME installed for about 9 months now, no issue to date. I didn't need any extra relay harness, but I don't have DRL, so I can't help you. Shipping did take awhile though. For 75 bucks to your door, it doesn't sound like too bad of a deal, considering your other options.

I never had an issue with my DDM kit. They even replaced a burnt out bulb under warranty, I ahd no issue getting in contact with them.

Tware, they should've sent you a new ballast.

No issues with my VVME kit either and I've been running it over 3 years now. I don't know about the relay harness either. Ask in the Canadian forum on here since Canada requires DRLs on every car - those guys could tell you.

OP, I'm not sure how you will make the kit work with DRL's. On my RAV4 I also had issues with DRL and ended pulling the relay to disable DRL because it was flickering since the voltage was so low. Since you absolutely can't disable DRL in Canada, I think you will need more than just the wiring harness, look into this DRL Module. I have no experience with this and I'm just going by what the website says.

The other "workaround" is to do the fog mod and manually turn on your fogs and use them as "DRL's" though I'm not sure if these can be substituted or disable DRL and just always turn on your headlights when driving. :-)

Oh that's right! LOL! I thought you were in Canada for some weird reason! I was referring that it's mandatory to have DRL per law in Canada, but you're in Finland, so I don't know the law there. Check to see if you can disable DRL. Yes, low voltage is bad for HID. Your lights will flicker on and off until you disable DRL and I must imagine this may or may not do something to the ballast and/or bulb. The upside to disabling, no wiring harness to install! :-)

Try these links to disable DRL if it's not against the law in your country:

Yes you can take out the relay, not the fuse, the DRL's are controlled by the relay detailed in the 2 above links. Can you take some pics of your city lights? I love the European spec headlights but I haven't bought them for my car.
