Default Recommended bulb kit for DEPO two-piece headlights?

I've found some new-in-box DEPO two-piece headlights that will fit my 98 B5.

These are just the housings and no HID bulbs/ballasts/wiring.

Any recommendations on what HID kit I should use? I don't really care about the color temperature, just reliability and ease of installation.

For those light housings you'll want 35w or 55w H7 bulbs. 4300k (OEM) is supposedly the brightest as far as lumens, but anywhere between there and about 6000k will produce very bright, nice looking, usable light. Anything higher than that starts to get purple and isn't as bright as it needs to be.

As far as brands, VVME is cheap, but you may die from old age before you actually get the kit, and god help you if you have to order a replacement part (which you will)

DDM is good quality but I don't believe they offer their slim ballasts anymore.

For the money, I'd go with the KrautoParts kit from Emil. He's sold a ton of them, they're very good quality and we know where he lives so we can jump him if he doesn't deliver

I got a kit from DDM a couple years back and it's still shining bright

was only like $40 shipped, too.

So are the krautoparts kits. Plus Emil is a member here and small business entrepreneur. I'm always in favor of supporting that. His stuff rocks and you can grab some LEDs from him at the same time. And like Chris said, if he changed his ways and didn't deliver, we can put the boots to him. I've been to his house and can get back there very easily

I have Emil's kit. FUckign amazing. I did it so quick so i didn't take pics, i might do it today. But i installed everything without using a drill or dremel. I didn't want to do that and have any chance of moisture. SO it plugs right into stock and no one can tell. Plus some of the HID wiring jobs i have seen in the past look horrendous.
