Default Removing front ABS Sensor

I'm not sure exactly how to remove the sensor. I'm in the middle of my control arms and TRE's and i don't want to break this and spend anymore money than I already have haha. Any help would be appreciated. The only thing I could find on it was for the rear which said theres a 4mm hex but I don't see one anywhere

The rear is a 4mm hex, the front is a push-in.

As for removing it, I'd assume just work it out. I'm too nervous to try for fear of breaking it.

Looks like there is no special fitting, just...straight out with it.

Good luck - it's likey to break. Only foolproof way I've found was to disassemble enough to get the axle out of the hub so you can look inside. Find the face of the sensor, put a 12" extension against it, and tap it out.

Admittedly I've only had to mess with four or five of them on various cars, but they were all seized into the hubs and wouldn't pull out, whether by trying to pull, lever, pry, or twist them out, and the housings broke open. Soaking them with a penetrating fluid like Kroil and then tapping them out from the inside of the hub popped them out though. That's cool that they're available inexpensively online though - Audi charges quite a bit fit them - more than I can really see as justifiable since it's nothing more than an inductive pickup...but that's life with these cars

Tapping it out is the best option. Even then they can break, they are metallic, but a very soft metal whatever they are made out of. I had to tap mine out and it deformed, i was worried it wouldnt work but it still did fortunately.

Audiworld.com has an article for replacing a wheel bearing or an axle - not sure which - but they'll show you how to get the axle out of the hub. Once it's out, look inside and you'll see the face of the sensor. And as stated above, it is easy to dent or damage it. Maybe put a few layers of electrical tape over the extension you're going to use, and then just tap it out.

Basically, just do what you are doing if you are in the process of doing the CA's and TREs. Youll want to make sure that your axle bolt is disconnected though (which might be difficult if you havent already done so before you started removing the CAs). Once the axle bolt is removed, the CV join can slide out of the wheel carrier. From there its pretty obvious, look at the other side of the abs sensor and you will just see a metallic circle, thats where you should tap to try and tap it out.
