Riegar RS4 Bumper $375 Paint Price?
nooo sorry i c where its misunderstood... The company name was 3m i went to i got the paint from there, they carry tons of 3m products though and btw 3m makes way more than glue and tape... They also make this 3m double sided tape made for sideskirts to hold them.... Yea I used it for like a week until i got me some proper body screws but idk if id trust the tape for a permanent thing...
um glue still? any body got a DIY for puttin on this freakin Riegar RS4 cause the body shop looked at the directions for me and said they would charge me 450 for the dry-fit, paint, and custom install cause you have to leave a peice of the old bumper on? guys help me out here...is this bumper really glued on to a peice of the old exsisting bumper?
the reiger bumper is a b!tch to install if you dont know wut your doing tho. just a little heads up cause i have one. if he can go down to $300 id say do it, cause its not worht the headache, trust me. the reiger needs a lot of hacking to make it look right, esp. if your running a front mount, which i really think you should, something needs to fill that giant hole in the front, and they dont give you a center grill.
wait i just read your last post, and those guys are pretty stupid. the only thing i used off the old bumper was the bumper support, and that didnt last for too long, its completely off the car now. i have mine screwed into the plastic part on the fender (actually that came off the old bumper too but its just screwed on if i remember right) theres a lip that screws directly into that. i also threw in a few scrwes into the fender (top of the bumper, bottom of fender) just for good measure.
wait 01afour....you have screws connecting the top of the Rieger to the bottom of the fenders but wheres the 'lip that screws directly into that'. i dont understand what you meen by that statement. your telling me you did not use the epoxy glue and somehow made it a complete bolt on?
I hate to keep posting on my own thread but....
Are the instructions for installing this bumper really to detach the 'painted bumper cover' by poping off the plastic welds...and then cutting the 'bumper support' (reinforced plastic) to a certial shape and then glue'in the Rieger on to that with supplied glue, support with masking tape and finally tap holes in the Rieger for revits and or body screws supplied with the kit?

I just recently redid my front bumper... I got a crappy cheap kit that came from poland with nothing but the kit no predrilled holes just a kit with a cracked bumper.
I drilled 3 holes down in the plastic that sits on top of the bumper support and placed 3 screws from the bumper into this plastic piece of S%$#... Then i ran 2 screws in each corner of the bumper up into the side of the fender... <--- that was my temp. solution... But since then i took a plastic cover for the windshield washer fluid off and took a piece of aluminum and bent it around the fender... I drilled 2 holes where the screws for the cover went and screws the aluminum to that... On each side of the bumper (or on mine anyway) there is like a 2 inch lip. I ran a bolt into the bumper attaching it to the bent aluminum... I did this on both sides... The bumper is not going anywhere now. There is no play its fits good and its a permanent thing...
i will show you what i did i'll post pictures to give a better description...
