Default Rims!

Im thinking about tossing some aftermarket rims on the a4
a little extra cash in my budget this month. not looking to spend over 600ish.

I have a blue a4 sedan b5. any recommendations?
im thinking about the black BBS JH8's or AR1's
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...odClar=Quattro

im a fan of the black rims, saw them on an s4 earlier and they looked nice.
alloys cool to, but i dont think i would rock crome.

Now im a complete noob to tires. my audi has 5 spoke 16" stockers right now
in the rear end of the car there is a bar reeal close to my back tires
could i still fit a 17" rim?
I would rather keep it in the 16" range though, my tires are perfect and it would be sweet if i could just get them changed over to my new rims.
im pretty sure i cant do that if i go for 17"s, right?

thanks for answering my dumbass questions haha

alright well first I don't know WTF a BBS JH8 is, they JH8 is from ASA or Stern. I'm kidding I figured it out easy enough.

as for the color choice here is a pic of a deep blue Audi with black wheels

I personally don't mind it but I prefer gunmetal wheels on blue cars if you are going to get a darker color

between your two choices I would pick the JH8, but again that is personal style I like my wheels to have a bit more meat to them but if the right set for the right price came around I'd really rock almost anything.

You can actually fit up to 20's on the b5 platform, but it is width that will get you before diameter will become an issue,

I've seen some guys running 10in. wheels but mostly anything above 9 I think you have to modify it a bit or get some crazy offsets.

so the wheels you are looking at you could get in 17x8 with an offset of 35 and they'll fit fine.

My personal preference too is that if you are getting new wheels for the car, you have to at least get something a bit bigger, the stock 16's look to small on the car.

any other questions feel free to ask

I'm sorry but no, those wheels look ugly IMO.
